Science Education

The United States is pretty dismal in math and science scores compared to our global competition, and it's only getting worse. Science education is really important for our nation's future technological advancement, business development, and global competitiveness. Renewable energy, medical advancements, and cures for diseases are all dependent on smart scientists and engineers getting a good education and funding. Plus, general science knowledge is really important for informed voting on scientific and environmental issues, asking good questions of your doctor, understanding an illness or your treatment options, avoiding false advertising in consumer products, and improving our course as a nation in the obesity and diabetes epidemic.
The Science Lady supports the National Youth Science Foundation and the National Youth Science Camp as a great resource for educating and supporting our young budding scientists.  Read more about their mission and great educational programs here:  http://www.nysf.com/w/  You can also donate to the cause here:  http://www.nysf.com/w/donate/
